1. What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented iced tea beverage brewed over a period of 2-3 weeks. It contains healthy probiotics which improves digestion and helps detoxify the body. With many other health benefits, kombucha is a must try for anyone looking to shift from soda, sugary beverages and alcohol to healthier alternatives.

2. What do you mean when you say it is ‘homemade’?
By homemade we mean our kombucha is brewed in small batches at home which does not contain any chemicals, additives or preservatives. We use only the freshest and realest of ingredients, providing you with the best booch! Our mission is to brew with the aim to avoid any wastage.

3. Is Kombooz Kombucha sugar-free?
A common question many people have asked us! Sugar is only added for the fermentation process. The sugar feeds and helps the SCOBY (yeast) grow, which means without sugar you have no SCOBY, and if there is no SCOBY, you have no kombucha!
Since the sugar added to the fermentation is eaten by the SCOBY, the final Kombooz contains <4g* of sugar ONLY. The sweetness you’ll taste in Kombooz is mostly from the fruit/berry.

4. What ingredients are used to prepare Kombooz?
Filtered water, SCOBY, Organic black tea, Organic sulphur less sugar and fresh fruits/berries.

5. When and how should I drink Kombooz?
Kombooz can be had any time of the day!
It is best served chilled, so you can drink it as it is or topped up with ice.

6. How much can I consume per day?
Our bottle sizes are designed to be a single serving size. Since it is a probiotic, we recommend you drink it regularly, before/after your meals.
For beginners, we recommend to start with 100ml and increase your dosage as you feel comfortable.

7. What are the health benefits?
Kombooz contains probiotics that help in digestion and improve gut health. It also contains vitamins that detoxify the body and acts as an energy booster.

8. How do I store Kombooz?
It needs to be refrigerated, placed in an upright position ONLY.

9. What is the shelf life?
2 months from the date of manufacturing. Once opened consume within 7 days.

10. Do you add carbonation?
Not at all! The fizz in the Kombooz is naturally created in the fermentation process.

11. Can you drink Kombooz in your pregnancy?
While it is a naturally fermented iced tea, it contains probiotics and vitamins that help in digestion, gut health and detoxes the body. But nonetheless, we recommend that you consult your doctor before consumption.

12. Is Kombooz diabetic friendly?
While our kombucha contains <4g* sugar, which if consumed in moderation, is a great alternative to other unhealthy beverages. The sugar in our kombucha is added only for the fermentation process, which is used by the SCOBY. However, we recommend that you consult your doctor before consumption.

13. Can children drink Kombucha?
We must consider, that as a fermented tea, it contains a minimum amount of alcohol — <1% (don’t worry! Not enough to get you feeling anything!)
